Smt. Kishori Amonkar, inherited all the nuances of this Gharana under the hawk eyes of her mother and guru. As her music progressed and matured she gained recognition as Gaayana Saraswati, Padma Vibhushan Smt. Kishori Amonkar. With a strong and solid foundation of the style, Kishori Tai started exploring beyond the realm of the Gharana. Her forays into this exploration and experimentation gave her an expansive repertoire transcending into a unique style of her own. Her melodiously soulful voice enthralled connoisseurs and listeners of Hindustani Classical music all over the globe. Smt. Kishori Amonkar was a recipient of world wide acclaim and acknowlegement and was the recipient of prestigious awards. Lalit Kala Akademi Award, Padma Bhushan followed later by Padma Vibhushan, the coveted Taansen Puraskar to mention a few. She was also felicitated with 5 D’litts from various universities in India.
Smt. Tejashree Amonkar Pandya
Smt. Tejashree Amonkar Pandya is a young and talented Hindustani classical singer, and the grand daughter of the legendary vocalist Gayana Saraswati Kishori Amonkar. She has inherited the rich musical legacy of her grandmother and great grand mother.

Tejashree's performances are a true reflection of her beautiful and soulful voice, which has a mesmerizing quality that captivates her listeners.
